Although most visitors probably won’t think there have been big changes at Squidoo, that’s not the way it looks to lensmasters on the network.

The pages look much cleaner and smarter because a lot of unnecessary text and buttons have been eliminated making the page much more attractive.

I’m a Squidoo Angel Again

Squidoo has changed the way its Angels operate again. Now that there are more categories and sub-categories for lenses, Angels look after a particular sub-category – mine is Growing Plants. It’s a subject in which I’m interested so I enjoy looking at these pages and have given out blessings on several. I’m pleased to say that so far I haven’t come across any lenses violating the site’s Terms of Service.

I’ve Blessed More than 100 Squidoo Lenses this Month

squidoo

An Angel by RafaelIt’s true – since September 1st I’ve blessed 105 lenses on Squidoo counting those I did today. What’s amazing is the wide variety of subjects covered on the network. There are pages on just about every topic you can think of. The very first one that got a blessing from me this month was The Great Depression Era – 1930s while number 105 is about the Day of the Dead.

In between those two are pages about calligraphy, patchwork quilting, dogs, flowers, music, autism, recipes and just about everything else you can imagine.

You can see the complete list on Angel in Disguise.

Squidoo user names, the ones that appear on every lens as well as the lensmaster’s page, can tell us something about the person behind the name.

Many people, myself included, use a nom de plume and there can be many reasons for this. When I joined Squidoo, I predominantly wrote elsewhere and I wanted to keep the two activities totally separate so I chose the name ‘Stazjia’ for my writing on Squidoo. I did, however, put my real name in my information. I didn’t feel it was absolutely imperative to conceal my identity.
